Ayon kay commissioner Amparo "Weena" Lim, Project Director na ang nasabing training camp ay bahagi ng government’s commitment sa pag-aalaga ng grassroots sports at linya ng PSC na makadevelop ng mga bagong tuklas na talento para sa mga bagong henerasyon na magiging bayani ng sports.
Naging panauhin si Ilocos Norte Governor Ferdinand "Bong Bong" Marcos Jr., sa opening rites na dinaluhan din nina Vice Gov. Mariano Nalupta, Jr., Laoag City Mayor Roger Fariñas, Congressman Roquito Ablan at Ilocos Norte Sports Development Council consultant at dating Gintong Alay chief Michael Keon, ang Camp Director.
