"After much thought and deliberation, we have decided that submitting an amended offer sheet may not necessarily result in the speedy resolution of this problem and may even result in prolonged debates and arguments that may disrupt the harmony that now prevails in the PBA family," ani Khoo sa kanyang liham kay Bernardino bilang tugon sa desisyon ng liga.
"We humbly submit to the decision of the honorable Commissioner and we will no longer submit an amended offer sheet. With this move, the PBA Commissioner can now declare that ‘there is no offer sheet outstanding for San Miguel Beer to match," sabi pa ni Khoo.
"The offer sheet route was made available to all teams as a means of enhancing their competitiveness and to allow players to fully develop their career and maximize their hard-earned tallent," sabi pa ni Khoo.
"Is it really the purpose of the PBA teams to throw away money with nothing in return?" tanong ni Khoo. "We cannot speak for the other teams but Tanduay believes it derives value from its PBA team although it is not expressly shown in the company’s financial statements."
