FedEx employees conduct tree-planting activity for FedEx Cares Week 2014

MANILA, Philippines - FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. and the world’s largest express transportation company, recently conducted a tree-planting activity at the Buhay Punlaan nursery in Lumban, Laguna as part of FedEx Cares Week.

To support Haribon Foundation’s Road to 2020 Movement, 29 volunteers from FedEx Philippines participated in a biodiversity and reforestation workshop and participated in tree replanting and seedling restoration.

The movement aims to restore one million hectares of Philippine rainforests by the year 2020 to prevent natural disasters and conserve biodiversity in the country.

Around 1,000 FedEx volunteers in 12 Asia-Pacific markets supported local organizations in 36 community activities across the region for the annual FedEx Cares Week.
