SN power donates computers

MANILA, Philippines – SN Power, a Norwegian investor in the Philipine power sector, kicked-off its corporate social responsibility activities for 2009 with a donation of information and communications technology (ICT) equipment to Filemon Javier Elemetary School in Mandaluyong City.

“We hope that these computers and peripherals will help the school in boosting the children’s performance in aptitude tests, especially in the sciences, where it has been observed that the school had been lagging behind,” said Kim Lande, country director of SN Power in the Philippines.

SN Power-Philippines donated desktop and laptop computers, a printer, licensed software and peripherals.

The project was carried out in partnership with the Junior Chamber International (JCI) of Mandaluyong City, a local NGO that had been doing education-related projects in the city.

SN Power is the joint venture partner of the Aboitiz Power Corp. in SN Aboitiz Power, owner and operator of the Magat and Ambuklao & Binga hydropower plants in Luzon.
