MANILA, Philippines — “Ang tatapos sa sakit, malasakit.” This has been the battle cry of Green Cross Inc. as it provides much-needed support to frontliners who continue to lead the battle against COVID-19.
To show its commitment to frontliners, Green Cross, the country’s leading rubbing alcohol brand, sought help from its Facebook community to nominate medical institutions that would receive donations under its Project ProtektaHand campaign.
Thirty hospitals across the country were selected via nominations from the netizens to be recipients of Frontliner Care Packages, which included 3,000 freshly cooked meals and over 21,000 pieces of Green Cross Alcohol, Green Cross Soap and Zonrox Bleach.
Project ProtektaHand is part of Green Cross’ "The virUS ends with US" campaign, which seeks to empower Filipinos to help end the virus with the power of malasakit.
It is Green Cross’ response to the continuing challenges of the pandemic, and is proof of the company’s unwavering commitment to serve the nation.
To date, Green Cross Inc.’s advocacy projects have provided over 56,000 hygiene products and 10,000 personal protective equipment to frontliners all over the country.
”Through these efforts, Green Cross Inc. aims to make Filipinos agents of change by helping them realize that every action, whether big or small, can contribute to ending of pandemic. The virus ends with each of us, as we do what we can to protect not only our frontliners, but ourselves and our families as well,” said Green Cross Inc. President Michael Co.
Indeed, the fight against COVID-19 is far from over, but with Green Cross Inc.’s commitment to serve, along with the Filipino’s bayanihan spirit, our frontliners can be assured of the unwavering support throughout and beyond this battle.
