MANILA, Philippines - In a magic-themed product launch last April 28, the country’s only integrated motoring company introduced the newly updated Suzuki SX4 Aero, formerly tagged as the SX4 Sedan.
Completely restyled with a sportier profile, more aggressive front grille, 17-inch alloy wheels and rear spoiler with third brake lamp, the Suzuki SX4 Aero brings a fresh vitality to this Italian-designed sedan. Its color-keyed underspoiler kit and halogen fog lamps complete the SX4 Aero’s sporty package.
Featuring a more powerful 1600cc, 16-valve DOHC engine with variable valve timing (VVT), the Suzuki SX4 Aero produces maximum output of 110hp at 5,600rpm and maximum torque of 150Nm at 3,800rpm. It is mated to a four-speed gate-type automatic transmission.
Passenger safety is assured through a highly rigid body that utilizes Suzuki’s TECT (total effective control technology) complemented by dual airbags and anti-lock brake system (ABS). It also has ventilated discs in front and rear brakes that were upgraded to solid discs for greater stopping power. Front McPherson struts and rear torsion beam suspensions, both with coil springs assure excellent handling and cornering. Rack and pinion electronic power steering enhances the driving experience.
Plush seat fabric material, all-power features, and chrome inner door handles all add to the luxe-feel of the 2010 Suzuki SX4 Aero. The instrument cluster serves as a virtual information center with a fuel consumption gauge, fuel range and digital clock.
The audio system has also been upgraded to deliver surround sound experience via an 8-speaker system consisting of 4 door speakers and 4 door-mounted tweeters. External music players can be connected through an auxiliary port, while the in-dash CD player is mp3-compatible. Audio controls are mounted on the leather-wrapped steering wheel for easy access.
The Suzuki SX4 Aero is offered in snow white pearl, star silver metallic and super black pearl and is now available at all 18 Suzuki dealerships nationwide.
