Spanish brand, Mango wrangled a stylish, clutch-toting and stilleto’ed set to the opening of their latest branch in Davao at the Ayala mall, Abreeza. Emma Holford of Mango International who flew in for the event shared that the name Mango, came to be when Turkish owner Isak Andic visited the Philippines and tasted the delectable fruit – he thought it to be exotic at that time. Emma was not too sure where Mr. Andic got his first taste of mangoes but I reckon it was in Cebu!

Meanwhile in the Queen City, another brand of more Filipino descent celebrated 25 years in the business. Suiting up the Philippines’ most distinguished men for decades, Bergamo has ventured into dressing women. Cocktails commenced the celebrations at their Banilad Town Center boutique followed by a fashion show headed by supermodels Ria Bolivar and Erica Alessi. But the night’s moment really was when Mel Meer, the driving force behind the brand took his bow.
