The glamorous Mellie Ablaza recently hosted a most wonderful fête.
The Guatemala consul, with the support of her loving husband, Zambia Consul Louie Ablaza, seized the opportunity to commemorate decades-old friendships as she graciously hosted the reunion of the University of the Philippines Law Class of 1962.
The reunion was held at the Ablaza family’s sprawling estate in Alfonso, Cavite where its pavilion was transformed into a festive and Filipino-style wonderland by Mellie’s artistic son Jun Jun Ablaza.
The sumptuous lunch of Filipino fusion dishes was catered by Chef Jessie restaurant.
During her speech, Mellie thanked her longtime friends and colleagues who have shared in her journey. She also thanked her partner in law and in life — her husband Louie, who built a magnificent home named after her, and with whom she shares three lovely children and eight delightful grandchildren.
It was a wonderful celebration of law, life and love!
