And they all came for a noble cause!

People from various social circles recently gathered together as the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS) celebrated its 2015 Best Dressed Women of the Philippines annual awards ball at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La.

First staged in 2004, under honorary chairperson Imelda Ongsiako Cojuangco’s guidance, the glamorous gala was spearheaded by PCS chairman Dr. Roberto Paterno and the hardworking Best Dressed Women of the Philippines event chairperson Angola Consul Helen Ong. The event would not have been successful without the unwavering support of the selection and organizing committee members Mabel Abaño, Tanzania Consul Betty Chua, Roy Gonzales, Gambia Consul Agnes Huibonhoa, Marian Ong, Sandie Poblador, Jayelles’ Roselle Rebano, Elaine Rojas-Villar and yours truly as adviser.

The evening’s brightest stars, ladies who lead inspiring lives, led by Style Icons Grace Ong Gobing and Joy Wambangco-Rustia, took center stage and wowed the guests with their bedazzling auras and elegant gowns. This year’s Best Dressed awardees are Eni Alba, Natalie Diane Lim-Ang, Danda Crimelda Buhain-Garcia, Maika Garcia, Jarelle Palabay Gonzales, Mia Cabawatan-Lozada, Anna Moncupa, Ann Ong, Dr. Elsie Badillo-Pascua, Anna Sia, Patch Savellano-Singson and Dr. Hazel Paragua-Zuellig.

The Ambassadors for Life had their share of the spotlight while members of the Camera Club of the Philippines showed their support with a pledge from the earnings of their book.

Adding more color to the festivities were raffle prizes including a Carlo Saavedra painting, Ann Ong and Lally Dizon bags, jewelry from Jewelmer, Hoseki and Kit Silver. There was also an auction featuring art pieces from world-renowned sculptor Ramon Orlina and Seb Chua.

The 12th edition of the longest-running charity show in the country, supported by San Miguel Corp., EastWest Bank, BA Securities, Chrysler and Czarina, continues its commitment to PCS in its programs to help Filipinos battling cancer.

Congratulations to the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines and Philippine Cancer Society for another year of continued success in helping save lives of our fellow Filipinos!
