Distinguished personalities and golf aficionados had a grand time at the fun-filled awards night of the 45th Golden Tee held at the Manila Golf and Country Club (MGCC) in Makati City.

The evening started with a welcome message, via video, by MGCC president and Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez who was in Geneva, Switzerland at that time. Besides the much-anticipated annual invitational tournament, the MGCC board of directors busied themselves with the completion of additional club facilities that include an air-conditioned veranda, a barbershop, a new kitchen, small function rooms and grill house.

Several VIPs were in attendance, among them, Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario and wife Gretchen, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, Trade Secretary Greg Domingo, Lexus Manila Inc. chairman Alfred Ty with his wife Cherry and president Danny Isla, Meralco president and CEO Oscar Reyes and McDonald’s Philippines founder and chairman Dr. George Yang.

A delectable dinner was enjoyed by guests with lovely string music playing in the background. As usual, the prizes raffled off were to-die-for — from cars, trips to local premier resorts and nearby Asian countries, laptops, flat and Smart TVs to smartphones.

Congratulations to MGCC special board adviser Macario Te and to the entire Manila Golf and Country Club board for another memorable night!
