One of the country’s top destinations was set recently for a weekend of pampering and relaxation.

Discovery Shores Boracay pulled all the stops for a truly relaxing weekend getaway to honor its industry supporters, travel agents and friends in media. The weekend at the premier destination was designed loosely for guests to relax, recharge and refresh while allowing them to rediscover Boracay at their own leisurely pace. The resort has been rewarding its top producers since 2009 to express its appreciation with the unmistakable Discovery Shores’ service mantra: “Service that’s all heart.”

Day One of the colorful weekend began as guests were welcomed at Discovery Shores with a sumptuous lunch at Sands Restaurant. This was followed by a “free and easy” afternoon relaxation at the beach or at the poolside and complimentary pampering spa sessions at Terra Wellness Spa. A night-out in Boracay ensued, with a Spanish dinner feast at Dos Mestizos.

The following day started with a bountiful breakfast buffet at Sands Restaurant. After catching good doses of the morning sun, guests enjoyed an al fresco lunch at the award-winning Indigo Restaurant, which served indulgent seafood fare and other dishes. By sunset, cocktails were served at the beachfront as guests celebrated a colorful day in the cradle of exquisite luxury.

At nightfall, Discovery Shores was transformed into an enchanting Mardi Gras-inspired dinner extravaganza, dubbed as “Life in Color,” executed by the resort’s award-winning culinary team. Gracious hosts of the festive event included Jose JunParreño Jr., COO of The Discovery Leisure Company Inc.; Seng Teodoro, hotel manager of Discovery Shores; and Joy Denoga-Bautista, director of sales and marketing of Discovery Shores and Club Paradise.

The evening’s highlight was the Top Producers Awarding ceremony. Handmade Fire Dancer trophies by sculptor Ferdinand Cacnio were presented to the Top 10 Travel Agencies.

The many accolades Discovery Shores Boracay received include: 2014 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor; one of Travel + Leisure magazine’s 500 World’s Best Hotels in 2014; ranked No. 2 in Top 10 Hotel for Families, ranked No. 6 in Top 25 Hotels in the Philippines and ranked No. 7 in Top 25 Luxury Hotels in the Philippines of TripAdvisor 2014 Travelers’ Choice Awards.
