The beach season has arrived and beach bodies are about to parade under the sun.

In line with the season is the launch of this year’s bigger, hotter and sexier Century Tuna Superbods Super Challenge. Brand ambassador Anne Curtis headlined the launch at the InterContinental Hotel’s Bahia Room.

Anne shared her fitness secrets — including a diet that has the Flakes in Oil variant of the No. 1 tuna brand. She especially raved about her favorite snack: avocado and tuna, and a workout routine that features Pilates and basic gym.

Century Pacific Food Inc. general manager Greg Banzon said, “We all know that Century Tuna Superbods is one of the most awaited summer events in the country and this year, we did our best to offer something new.”

Along with Century Tuna group product manager Gela Gamboa, Banzon invited everyone to take the Super Challenge, through the campaign “Everybody can be a Superbod.” Century Tuna’s newest celebrity endorser John Lloyd Cruz takes the said challenge to guide him on his road to fitness.

Banzon added, “By presenting John Lloyd Cruz as a Superbod, we want to inspire our loyal customers to take their own journey towards health and fitness.” John Lloyd, who could not attend the launch due to a minor injury from a biking accident, conveyed his gratitude for being selected as the brand’s endorser.

The event also saw the first public viewing of the TVC and behind-the-scenes for this year’s Century Tuna Superbods Super Challenge, featuring Anne, John Lloyd and Boys Night Out DJs Slick Rick, Tony Toni and Sam YG.

Also at the launch were nutritionist to the stars, US-certified dietician Nadine Tengco, and Biggest Loser: Pinoy Edition fitness expert Jim Saret, who discussed the Superbods Diet and workout plan that John Lloyd and celebrity challengers will be following.

The launch is a run-up to the much-anticipated Century Tuna Superbods Super Challenge 2014 happening on April 25 to 27 in the country’s ultimate summer destination, Boracay.

Now on its fifth season, the Superbods competition is a battle among the sexiest males and females between 18 and 35 years old with a healthy body and passion for an active lifestyle.

The Century Tuna Superbods Super Challenge 2014 is made possible by Pearl of the Pacific Boracay Resort and Spa, San Mig Zero, Air Asia Zest, Solaire Resort and Casino, CarbTrim and Gold’s Gym. The event is supported by The Zen Wellness, Smart, Belo, The District and Medicard. Other sponsors are Gardenia, Tony Galvez Salon, Victor Ortega, Black Market, SM Super Malls and SM Mall of Asia.
