The secret to excellent skin

Many women have long been searching for the secret to beautiful, excellent skin.

At the recent Physiogel Beauty Fair, guests were given the chance to discover the secret when they were treated to a walkthrough on the right skincare tips. Makeup artists Krist Bansuelo, Carla Avancena and Pong Niu shared makeup application tips and demonstrated the upcoming trends for next year.

They said that for Spring/Summer 2014, the “no-makeup look” will be dominant. It will all be about raw, natural beauty. Makeup will be understated, flawless, fresh, well-groomed but effortless. Makeup for Fall/Winter 2014, meanwhile, is a sensual look that highlights cherry red lips; metallic eyes are back but with a lightened overall effect with a hint of gloss.

The makeup artists also said that one beauty tip to excellent skin is to use Physiogel Cleanser as a makeup remover for those with sensitive skin. Other tips they shared were facial exercises. It may sound silly but it’s important to remember that the face has muscles, and toned muscles will always look better than flabby muscles. It’s one more reason to smile more often. If you think you’ve moisturized enough, slather on some more! Moisturize more than you think you need to. It’s best to apply while the skin is still damp so the product can help trap some of the surface moisture into your skin. And, while you’re at it, moisturize inside out by staying hydrated with lots of water.

Expert-recommended Physiogel is clinically proven to repair and rehydrate dry, sensitive skin. It has cream and lotion variants that defend skin against dryness.

Strengthening ties

The country’s top LPG solutions provider Solane threw a thanksgiving party for its loyal bulk customers for supporting the brand since its transition under the management of Isla LPG from Shell Gas two years ago.

“Client Appreciation Night” was led by Isla LPG chairman Ricky Delgado Sr. Also gracing the event were Little Miss Solane 2013 Gabbi Lopez, Mrs. Philippines Globe-Solane Mother of the Year Jessie Lucero and other winners of Mrs. Philippines Globe, and musician Gail Blanco with her band Subprojekt.

COO Mon del Rosario said, “Because of our customers’ support, Isla LPG remains not only as your energy provider, but a solid company, which is dedicated to provide innovative LPG solutions so that you, our customers, can deliver the best.”

Isla LPG CEO Toshihisa Fuse added that a new filling plant in Canlubang, Laguna would be inaugurated to add to the company’s long list of achievements “from launching the safest technologically advanced fleet and innovations like special blends, boiler conversions and telemetry.”

The event’s theme was “wine, dine and unwind.” Guests chose their preferred wine bottle for their table. Musical director Alvin Santoyo provided the beautiful music that matched the excellent food and wine served at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, which uses Solane LPG in cooking.

Isla LPG raffled off gift certificates from TW Steel watches, iPad Minis and a MacBook Air laptop.

Pharex turns 25

Pharex celebrated its 25th founding anniversary with a big get-together. The celebration, dubbed as “Phamily Day,” had employees and their families enjoying one happy day of treats, bonding and fun.

There were Zumba classes, photo booths and raffle prizes for the whole Pharex family. The event was the company’s way of giving thanks to employees whose hard work led Pharex to become the country’s most prescribed uni-branded generics medicine today.

The event began with a thanksgiving Mass and an audio visual presentation that showcased the partnerships the company forged in celebration of its silver anniversary — from outreach programs with celebrities like Pilita Corrales and Chris Tiu, to medical missions spearheaded by GMA Kapuso Foundation and ABS-CBN’s Salamat Dok. It has also linked up with the Philippine Medical Association, Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, Philippine Society of General Surgeons, Philippine College of Occupational Medicine and Drugstores Association of the Philippines.

President and CEO Tomas Marcelo Agana III recalled how the company started and grew over the years. He said, “Pharex remains deeply committed to provide Filipinos better access to quality and affordable generics medicine. We hope for your continued support as we move forward to the next 25 years of being the country’s most prescribed uni-branded generics medicine.”

Chairman Manuel Salazar thanked the families of employees for their unwavering support. He said, “You are all very important to the success and growth of Pharex, and it is only fitting to thank you as we mark the company’s 25th anniversary.”
