Time to play ball!
You know summer is here when the young ones join basketball clinics.
Junior NBA, presented by Alaska, kicked off its 2013 season at the British School Manila at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. Supported by Rexona and Master, the Junior NBA is the National Basketball Association’s international youth development program that promotes basketball participation, sportsmanship and teamwork and active lifestyle among the youth.
Rexona and Master’s participation in the ongoing activity is to promote proper grooming and hygiene among participants. The brands aim to provide the players with a program that not only focuses on skills and discipline, but also on having the confidence and winning look before and after each game.
The Junior NBA schedule includes school clinics as well as coaching seminars that will lead up to Regional Selection Camps in four cities. The program, open to kids 10 to 14 years old, will conclude in Metro Manila with the Junior NBA National Training Camp. The Top 10 players at the end of the National Training Camp will be named as the Junior NBA 2013 All-Stars and will be rewarded with an NBA Experience later this year.
During the opening event, Master and Rexona enlisted coach Franz Pumaren to give all participants a short talk on efficient coaching and the importance of grooming as basketball athletes. Franz shared tips on how to develop raw talent and inspire future basketball athletes.
