The paradisiacal island of Boracay sizzled when sexy young men and women, together with celebrities, flew all the way from Manila for the finals night of the Century Tuna Superbods 2012 dubbed Salute to Sexy.
It was a weekend of exciting parties as 20 hopefuls vied to become the next ambassadors of the tuna brand. Former US Marines soldier, 24-year-old John Spainhour, and 20-year-old model Monika Sta. Maria won the competition. Each received an exclusive contract with Century Tuna worth P500,000.
Century Tuna Superbods judges included designers Rajo Laurel and Charina Sarte, Jenni Epperson, editor Myrza Sison, photographer Mark Nicdao, PC&V president and chief creative officer Ariel Comia and Century Canning Corp. VP and GM Greg Banzon.
First runners-up were June Macasaet and Azel Shane Smith while second runners-up were JC Rezabek and Janelle Olafson. The People’s Choice Award was presented to Janet Emmrich and JP Yap, the Fierce Photo Award to John Spainhour and Janet Emmrich, and the Best in Resort Wear to AJ Hanson and Monika Sta. Maria.
The other male finalists were King Alcarrion, Martin Flores, Kenneth Angelo Loceo, Cris Lomotan and Charlie Sutcliffe. Female finalists were Jayanne Aldanese, Princess Armillos, Mary Claire Dodo, Kate Goza, Arianne Real and Ladylyn Riva.
Century Tuna endorsers Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay, Aljur Abrenica and Solenn Heussaff and Century Tuna Superbods 2009 winners Van Victor Leano and Theresa Fenger graced the event.
