The glittering who’s who of society and some of the country’s biggest names in the entertainment, beauty and fashion circles recently made their way to the third floor main wing of The Bellevue Hotel, the luxurious five-star hotel in the Southern Metro, for the grand opening of the Jing Monis Salon. No less than visionary Bellevue chairman Johnny Chan, brilliant GM Patrick Chan and dynamic marketing and communications director Ryan Chan welcomed special guests such as Vice President Jejomar Binay, Makati Mayor Junjun Binay and queen of all media Kris Aquino who led the salon’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. Jing Monis, a celebrated makeup and hair stylist, is the man behind the looks of many of today’s most recognizable faces in the industry. During the affair, celebrities, top models and well-known personalities came to express their support and loyalty to the topnotch stylist. Guests were impressed as they toured Jing’s new salon that boasts of functional chic design and sophisticated ambiance. The stellar gathering had everyone thoroughly enjoying The Bellevue’s superb food, warm hospitality and impeccable service.

A delightful afternoon with friends
The effervescent Grace Palma-Tiongco recently gathered her good friends — board members of The Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) — for a sumptuous luncheon at the Manila Polo Club. The gracious host treated her friends to a fine afternoon of great food and excellent company. It was indeed one memorable gathering thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Till the next luncheon, Grace!
90 years of being women for others
Just recently, Lili Adina played host to the luncheon meeting of the Catholic Women’s Club (CWC). The luncheon, headed by CWC president Mimi Valerio, announced to the group a list of events to commemorate the club’s 90th year of helping the less fortunate. Some of the planned activities include the club’s Annual Tea where new members are inducted; the Extravaganza 2011, which is a dinner-dance event; several fundraisers such as Clothes for a Cause and the Casa y Jardin Bazaar; and a special raffle featuring 10 rare jewelry pieces donated by CWC patron and member Imelda Cojuangco. It has been a truly eventful year for this charitable club.
