Trust Belo to live up to its name of not just providing world-class treatments and services, but redefining excellence and coming up with pioneering break-throughs.
Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Victoria Belo and her entrepreneurial daughter Cristalle Belo Henares opened their home with imaging expert and marketing consultant Jojie Dingcong for a media launch and lunch.
Saxophone music by Michael Young filled the air as guests entered the living room to enjoy lunch by Stephanie Zubiri’s Modern Epicurean Kitchen. White blooms of roses, tulips, stargazers and carnations, courtesy of Robert Blancaflor, decked the tables.
Sunblock, according to Vicki, is the best anti-aging cream because it prevents wrinkles. Vicki and Cristalle took two years to develop a sunblock lotion that con-tains everything we’ve been looking for in one product and yet, gentle enough for daily use. The result was SunExpert, which is non-sticky, water resistant, fra-grance-free, lightweight, fast-effective, hypo-allergenic and dermatologist-tested. The sunblock provides a broad spectrum protection against the sun’s harmful ultra-violet rays. It contains Ectoin, the natural cell shield that strengthens the skin’s defense system and preserves moisture content, which also maintains healthy, white skin while preventing accelerated premature skin aging or even skin cancer. The sunblock comes in two types with sun protection factor (SPF) — SPF 40 for the face and SPF 60 for the body.
Japanese-Brazilian model/actor Akihiro Sato is the celebrity endorser of SunExpert. At the launch, Akihiro allowed the guests to sample the product line, with fellow models Raya Mananquil, Mary Ann Umali and Fabio Ide.
SunExpert comes on the heels of the highly successful skin care whitening line that Belo Essentials introduced to the market — the day and night cream, lo-tion, toner, face wash and body bar. Each product has a distinct benefit to help achieve healthy, beautiful, smoother, fairer and radiantly whiter skin.
Dr. Belo and Cristalle gave away an iPhone and an iPad for the raffle. After all, what would a Belo party be without raffle prizes?
Eight years together
Tuason Racing School (TRS) has been using Ford vehicles in its fleet for the past eight years. In the last year and a half alone, the Ford Focus and Mazda BT-50 Drift Truck have figured prominently in Tuason’s any racing victories — from rally cross races to drift-truck races and
autocross races. Together, Ford Group Philippines (FGP) and TRS have organized a number of events and activities that included advanced driving skills training, proper race driving and other road safety initiatives.
Ford Group Philippines and TRS launched the Ford Focus 1.8L race car at Members Only. Guests enjoyed wines from Manny O’s.
The Ford Focus-TRS racing team is slated to race five units of the Focus 1.8L in races this year with multi-awarded race car driver JP Tuason, TRS students and 2008 PTCC Group 3 champion Brit Stuart Macdonald, Bobby Noriega, Ding Dizon, Bobby Horrigan, Marcus Wong, Velli Kaikonen and Sean Redbath.
FGP vice president for marketing and sales Steven Tan says, “We are taking our commitment to local motor sports to the next level. After winning the PTCC championships and performing well in the GT races last year, we want to show that the Ford Focus, with its racing
heritage, is the racer’s choice for the new age of competition.”
Team sponsors for the upcoming races include Ford Philippines, Goodyear Tires, Castrol, Standard Insurance, Coke Zero, Discovery Suites, Oakley, OMP, Ultraracing, Toptull, Aguila Glass, K & N, Speedlab, Starbright Body Kits, Dupont, Rota Wheels, Freemuff, Runstop and Businessworld.
A dream launch in Boracay
In those days when the heat was very much on in the beach, 106.7 Dream FM found a way to throw the coolest launch party to welcome the newest radio sta-tion in the island — 97.3 Dream FM Boracay.

Henry Katindig and his band with vocals by Oggie Benipayo started off the music fest followed by the music of DJ Boyet Almazan and DJ Andy Caldwell.
Boracay is known as a party place and this Dream launch was truly one for the books because it offered a wide array of music perfect for enjoying the beach. Dream FM partners were Rexona, Centrum, Biogesic for Kids, Gluta White and Firm, Zest Air, Fairways & Bluewater, MR Holiday, Boracay Beach Club, click-thecity.com and Velvet.
DC Comics turns 75
DC Comics is something I grew up with and occasionally read to this day. DC Comics is best known as the home of the world’s most famous superhero char-acters: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern — and literally a thousand more!
DC Comics launched 75 years of world-renowned comic book characters and its adventures with consumer events and new film, television and DVD content releasing throughout the year. Since its inception in 1934, DC Comics has developed into an industry leader and has continued to be one of the largest and most diverse publishers of comic book adventures. It is the only comic book publisher internationally selling over five million comics per month through more than 100 licensed publishers in 75 countries.
DC Comics characters have inspired blockbuster movies, classic television shows, engaging video games, exciting theme park attractions and an array of con-sumer products for fans of all ages worldwide. The launch was hosted by Anthony Pangilinan and attended by comics enthusiasts.
