They're all busy having fun

Who said that business and politics can’t mix?

Visionary chairman Henry Chusuey of The Boracay Regency Beach Resort and Convention Center, the first triple-A resort located along the white sand beach and the biggest in the island, recently proved otherwise. It was definitely a time for a much-needed break as notable politicians and businessmen took the time off their busy schedules to have some unforgettable leisurely fun by the pristine Boracay beach. Everyone experienced a vacation like no other at the Boracay Regency, which is truly the “place to be” with its cozy and luxurious suites, excellent dining outlets, state-of-the-art amenities and superb spa facility. Cheers!

A heartwarming lunch

It was indeed a perfect occasion of appreciation as Zonta Manila 1’s president lawyer Lulu Tesoro Castañeda recently expressed her gratitude for the support and dedication of all her hardworking board and committee heads during her elegant birthday luncheon gathering at the Shang Palace of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. Everyone was in fine spirits as they spent the afternoon sharing a bountiful feast and enjoying a great camaraderie.

Happy birthday, Lulu and many more to come!

A colorful Thai experience

In wanting to spread a colorful glee, the Dusit Thani Manila gathered together a group of young artists to display their exceptional works of art at the hotel’s grand lobby. These unique pieces were created by children who have displayed their impressive artistic genius in their paintings, drawings and other media.

Congratulations to Dusit Thani Manila’s management spearheaded by its creative and hardworking general manager Prateek Kumar in encouraging art for young Filipinos.

Freedom Day

The Embassy of South Africa in the Philippines recently celebrated Freedom Day at the Renaissance Hotel in Makati City.

Freedom Day is a national holiday in South Africa. It is celebrated on April 27, the day in 1994 when the first democratic election was held in the country.

The artist’s winning ride

A car restoration competition dubbed “The 18th Trans Sport Show” recently took place at the Megatrade Hall of the SM Megamall. There were two main categories: cars made before 1990 and the other after 1990. With more than 80 cars that participated and around 70 competing for prizes, the best of show for 2009 and best in execution and concept went to world-acclaimed artist Ramon Orlina’s 1974 customized stretch Volkswagen Beetle limo entry. Not only did it get the nod of the critics, it also won the hearts of car enthusiasts as well. Congratulations, Mon!
