Another visit to the Pavilion

The launch of the Pavilion of Heritage Park, the country’s most innovative memorial park, was so successful that they received many inquiries about the multi-million peso Asian-inspired columbarium. Energetic Heritage Park VP for sales and marketing Raquel Mendoza and VP for operations Emir Tubayan arranged another visit and once again, another batch of visitors was thoroughly impressed with the outstanding architecture and classy facilities of the structure. Leave it to Rosehills Memorial Management Philippines, Inc. chairman and president Jack Kidwiler to lead the way in the industry!

Bee Gees memories
Another music legend is coming to town, and it’s got me very excited! Robin Gibb, the lead singer of the Bee Gees, is arriving to sing the hits of the Bee Gees. I can’t wait to hear their great songs performed live! I asked two of my close friends to share their memories of the Bee Gees:
Frannie Jacinto
The Bee Gees are one of my all-time favorite bands! They make such memorable music, whether it’s their dance hits or their love ballads. My personal favorites are How Deep Is Your Love and More Than a Woman. My husband RJ and I appreciate good music and the Bee Gees’ music is better than good – it’s great!
Jojo Zabarte
When I was younger, the Bee Gees were so popular; you could hear their music all the time on the radio. They influenced a lot of local artists with their falsetto style of singing. My personal favorite is the classic love song To Love Somebody. It’s such a touching love song.

Listen to the hits of the Bee Gees as lead singer Robin Gibb comes to Manila to perform all the Bee Gees’ greatest hits live on Nov. 25, Saturday, 8 p.m., at the Araneta Coliseum via World Tour 2006. Tickets are now available at all SM Ticketnet outlets, or call 374-2222, 374-9999 and 911-5555.
A celebration of art
The Metrobank Foundation has once again raised the bar for corporate art sponsorship with the recent Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) awarding ceremonies at the Le Pavillon at the Metropolitan Park. Dapper Metrobank Foundation president Aniceto Sobrepeña, Metrobank president Arthur Ty and Federal Land president Alfred Ty were joined by guests of honor Australian Ambassador Tony Hely and SSS president Cora de la Paz in awarding the winners. A special award was given to sculptor Peter de Guzman and three National Artists were honored during the event: Benedicto Cabrera for painting, Ildefonso Santos for landscape architecture and Abdulmari Asia Imao for sculpture. Members of the diplomatic community and art enthusiasts were present in full force for the much-anticipated program. Once again, congratulations to the winning artists and to Metrobank for its unwavering support to talented Filipinos everywhere!
