Spreading joy for worthy causes
The ladies of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Cabinet spouses, socialites and delegates from the diplomatic circle gathered at the humble home of philanthropist and 2004 Best Dressed of the Philippines style icon Chito Madrigal Collantes for a sneak preview of exotic, valuable and rare trades from various countries participating in the most sought-after annual International Bazaar Foundation. It was spearheaded by Lovely Romulo, wife of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo and a staunch supporter of IBF’s worthy causes. The IBF, an organization that helps uplift the living conditions of the poor and less-fortunate Filipinos, continues to spread the joy of giving as it celebrates its 40th year with another fun-filled bazaar that includes the participation of 38 members of the diplomatic corps, eight members of the consular corps and 150 local participants on Nov. 19 at the PICC Forum, CCP Complex in Roxas Boulevard. See you there!
A fun time for all
The recent Halloween event at Dusit Hotel Nikko, one of Makati’s most elegant hotels, was a huge success as more than a hundred children showed up in their best costumes for a day of fun and excitement. Dubbed "Pirates’ Trove," the event was held at everyone’s favorite place for Filipino cuisine, Fiesta San Miguel. The young ones enjoyed a busy day – face painting, mask making, a kid’s salon, a fantastic dog show, a scavenger hunt, and of course, the traditional Trick or Treat activity around the classy hotel. Congratulations to hardworking Dusit general manager Ikuo Itoi and dapper resident manager Frank Grassman and lovely director of sales and marketing Melotte Mondelo for organizing another successful event! Bring the whole family to Dusit!
