MILF commander reacts to Marwan reward story

This is my strong reaction to the article “American claiming $5-M Marwan reward” (Philippine STAR 15 Feb. 2015).

The said article is the first time I heard of the names “Marcus Allen Frishman,” “Raymond General Liwag,” and “Ram Castillo.” More so I categorically deny having dealt with them in any such manner.

I confirm being what I am insofar as the above letterhead is concerned, but I categorically deny having issued any such document as reported in the article. I had not seen the reported document but my initial finding was that the letterhead was reportedly used without my knowledge, and the purported signature was forged. I personally know the person who is suspected to have done it, and this is being addressed accordingly.

I had heard of the name “Marwan,” but never met him, I do not have personal knowledge of his being real, I did not bother about him.

“Reward” as reported in relation to wanted people: It is my personal conviction that such is money stained in blood more so of victims who are damaged collaterally, thus I never get involve on these.

As a responsible member of the MILF, a legitimate revolutionary organization, I too abhor terrorism. This had always been my personal and official conviction, even during the time of the late Chairman Hashim Salamat.

May this reaction be accorded the same attention given to the said Philippine STAR article. – Cmdr. Boy Hashim, Chairman, Military Advisory Council, MILF Central Committee
