I would like to take this opportunity to commend our military service. Even as the military had been criticized over and over again, it has withstood its ground, unaffected and continues to be soldiers for the people. The immensity and difficulty of the task is immeasurable and this is what gives them that uniqueness.
I for one, saw their sacrifices as some not only risked their lives but lost it during past typhoons that ravaged our country. The young officers and enlisted personnel who die in battles in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao give us Filipinos more reason to give them more adoration and respect.
We have made a lot of progress and peace in different communities through the AFP Bayanihan Program and it continues to be replicated around the country. To our soldiers continue to aim high to reach your goal.
