MANILA, Philippines - On the editorial portion of the May 5, 2009 issue of The Philippine STAR entitled “Governor Jocjoc”, the second sentence of the first paragraph, which refers to the 2007 midterm election of the editorial states that “Garcillano was rejected by the voters of the first district of Bukidnon, who instead picked the Liberal Party’s Malu Acosta as their congressional representative.” I humbly say that there’s an error in the sentence because this humble representation was the declared winner by the COMELEC and the HRET in the 2007 Congressional race and currently the legitimate and incumbent Representative of the First District of Bukidnon.
This representation holds office in the House of Representatives since the opening of the 14th Congress and perform dutifully the function of a Congressman since that time. Therefore, I respectfully urge you to immediately make the necessary correction and let a copy of such be furnished this honorable representation.
