This pertains to published article that the “AFP to rethink redeployment of troops in Metro Manila.” In a statement made by Maj Gen Ben Dolorfino, Commanding General of the NCRCOM that the military leadership will decide this week if it will continue its civil military operations in some areas in Metro Manila.
As chairman of our youth club, I believed that the military must really redeploy its troops in Metro Manila especially in different depressed areas which really need attention and the much needed basic services which the government through the AFP can provide.
Our organization have been an avid supporter of all the military’s missions and undertakings. Significantly, what they did in Tondo, Baseco, Pasay, Taguig, Sta Mesa and other slums in Metro Manila by building up Day Care Centers, lectures to the youth and the Medical missions which is very important to our less fortunate countrymen.
We should also ignore the negative feedback coming militant groups which they said that the deployment of troops in depressed areas is a violation of the human rights law. I think these militants or should I say that these leftist organizations has consistently made their opinions known which is most often than not are just restatement of their previously declared views but necessitates playing with the issue to serve as the platform to promote their ability to think or gain mileage for the sake of popularity.
With all of the effort of the AFP, in advance, I salute you for giving the public another chance of bringing back the military in the metropolis. My organization will continue to support the AFP in all its righteous activities.
