Free seminar on tools for effective K-12 teachers slated for Feb. 27

MANILA, Philippines - CEP Philippines, the national advocate and leader for the character formation movement, cordially invites officers of basic education schools to a free seminar entitled Transforming Schools to Build Character: Essential Tools for the Effective K-12 Teachers on February 27, 2015 at the University of Asia and the Pacific. This one afternoon session is exclusively for Administrators and Principals who would like to explore trends and strategies to transform their schools into high performing educational institutions of character. One of the speakers, Mann Rentoy, is the Founding Director for Leadership of Character Education Partnership Philippines, an international affiliate of CEP based in Washington D.C., USA. The talks will cover a wide range of essential principles as well as concrete doable strategies that can equip teachers to effectively give character formation.

CEP Philippines is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian coalition of organizations and individuals committed to fostering effective character education, serving as the leading resource for people and organizations that are integrating character education into their schools and communities. CEP focuses on defining and encouraging effective practices and approaches to quality character education and provides a forum for the exchange of ideas. This seminar, which will run from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., is part of the preparatory events leading to the First Ever Asian Forum on Character Education scheduled for 2016.
