MANILA, Philippines - One of Asia’s premier universities is coming to Manila to hold a series of talks with some of the banking industry’s movers, as well as graduate students of the top business schools in the country in the first week of December.
The talks, in partnership with the International Education Specialists (Inter-Ed) would be led and facilitated by Jackson Ng, manager for the Master in Information Technology program of the University.
The discussion is an interesting and thought provoking one entitled, “The Singapore Management University Teaching Bank - Concept and Practice.â€
The presentation will discuss some of the key characteristics of banking in the financial services industry. A number of topics will be discussed related to the core functions of a bank, banking products and processes, and the role that information and IT play in making the industry unique.
Ng would also touch on several current issues that showcase the importance of building banking and finance, and technology and operations knowledge, as a foundation for a vibrant career in financial services.
