PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines— The Department of Education (DepEd) has scheduled for Jan. 20 (Sunday) an examination for elementary and secondary school principals in Mindanao and other regions of the country.
An advisory issued by Education Secretary Armin Luistro received here recently by DepEd Region 9 Director Walter Albos said the test, called National Qualifying Examination for School Heads (NQESH), will be conducted by the agency’s National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP).
Luistro identified the NQESH testing centers in the Southern Philippines as Zamboanga City High School-Main for Western Mindanao (Region 9), City High School of Nazareth in Cagayan de Oro City for Northern Mindanao (R-10), Davao City National High School for Southern Mindanao (R-11), Koronadal City National High School in South Cotabato for Central Mindanao (R-12), and Agusan National High School in Butuan City for Caraga (R-13).
The DepEd said examinees from the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) can take the test in any of the five venues.
