SFCC gives 50 scholarships to graduates nationwide

MANILA, Philippines - South Forbes City College (SFCC) recently announced that it is offering 50 tuition scholarships to promising high school graduates nationwide for the 2012-2013 academic year. Among the qualifying students, 25 will receive full scholarships on tuition and 25 will get half scholarships. Degree courses being offered are Business Administration, Hotel Restaurant Management, and Tourism Management.

A prospective scholar must be among the top five graduates of the class and must not have a failing mark in any high school subject. Interested candidates need to fill up the application form available for download at the school website www.sfcitycollege.edu.ph and submit it to South Forbes City College, South Forbes Golf City, Silang, Cavite. Upon qualification, applicants will need to submit the following documents: report card, transcript of records, certificate of good moral character, birth certificate, and endorsements letters stipulated in the scholarship rules, which can be viewed on the SFCC website.

The scholarships are being granted under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme, which allows corporations to sponsor the tuition of deserving students. Through the PPP scheme, students are required to have endorsements from their local congressional or senatorial representatives to qualify for the scholarship.

Real estate developer Cathay Land will sponsor three government-nominated students for scholarship at SFCC and is offering dormitory rooms at special discounted rates at Scandia Suites in South Forbes Golf City for all SFCC students.

“We are offering these educational grants as part of our corporate responsibility to support the many deserving Filipino students nationwide,” said Ramon Garcia Jr., head of the SFCC management team and chairman of Global City Innovative College (GCIC), an internationally-recognized educational center of excellence and globally-focused professional training.
