Canadian opportunities for Filipino nurses at Nursing Summit 2011

MANILA, Philippines - The Royal Canadian Institute of Technology (RCIT), located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is offering one of the country’s best Registered Licensure Preparation Program for internationally-educated nurses from around the world.

The one-year certificate program is designed to assist internationally educated nurses to become successful registered nurses in Canada. The program includes understanding of North American medical terminology, the Canadian healthcare system and nursing standards.

Students will be prepared to take the Substantially Equivalent Competency (SEC) Assessment, meet Canadian standards in nursing and gain a clear understanding of the professional responsibilities and nursing practices in Canada.

Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to take successfully the Canadian Registered Nurse Exam (CRNE). The courses are available on rolling admissions. Learning activities emphasize clinical judgment, decision-making and critical thinking.

To learn more about this exciting and rewarding program, Dr. Yourie Pankratz, RCIT president will be in Manila to answer any questions nurses might have about admission to the program during the iNaRS International Nursing Registration Summit 2011 at the AIM Conference Center, Makati City (near Greenbelt) on Saturday, May 21, to interview and offer acceptance to qualified RNs. Students may inquire locally at International Education Specialists.
