The impact of a globalizing economy is the driving force for schools to upgrade their standards in order to produce graduates who can compete globally. This coming Feb. 6 and 7, EdCrisch International will again hold a conference entitled “Creating a World Class Education” featuring speakers such as Dr. Yeap Ban Har, Dr. Subramanian s/o Ramanathan of the NIE (National Institute of Education), Ms. Ling Yuan and Ms. Foo Sheue, both with a Master in Education from the Ministry of Education in Singapore. Topics to be discussed are “Why kids like Singapore math” and “Why kids like Singapore science,” “Introduction to secondary science using the Singapore Syllabus Framework,” and the “Benefits of English taught as a text type and young learners go” (an ESL teaching tool for children).
