MANILA, Philippines – Culminating the week-long celebration of the Korean Wave takeover in UP Diliman, the University of the Philippines Society of Students for Korean Popular Culture, or HallyUP, will hold a special fan-gathering event packed with fun-filled activities that every KPOP fan will certainly enjoy.
HallyUP is a special interest organization in UP Diliman, created for students with passion and love for the Korean Popular culture. As its members' way of showing their appreciation for both the culture and its fans, a week of KPOP-related events such as a movie screening and a quiz bee contest will be held on September 10-13, 2013.
Slated on the 21st of September is Hallyu Week's major event, Hallyuniverse. To be held in GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center in UP Diliman, various activities will take place. Prizes will be given away to participants through different games and a raffle. Special performances from the HallyUP members and guest cover groups will bring the audience to their feet. Fanclub booths will be present to entertain fans of Kpop groups. Official and fanmade merchandise will be available from various sellers for attendees to drool over and/or purchase. "I Got The Moves" and "I Got The Voice" finalists will also be vying for the top prize on this very day.
HallyUP is inviting KPOP fans who want to meet, spazz or simply have fun with other fans to take part in Hallyu Week's culminating event.
