Deadline extended in search of outstanding youth orgs

Due to insistent public demand, organizers are extending the deadline of applications to the 11th Search of Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO 11) to August 15, 2013.

Requests from youth groups, particularly school-based organizations, have reached the TAYO Foundation lines to extend the deadline because the certifications are yet to be released by offices of student affairs in universities, colleges and schools.

Last year, the TAYO Awards registered another 286 youth groups in a database which is the most updated and largest of its kind in the country. The search grants P50,000 to the 10 organizations to be named winners at the national finals.

Representatives from all over the Philippines are flown and housed for free to the venues of the area and national finals. Through the course of the search, representatives are trained on community organizing and team building seminars. They also go through media hops in a city in their region: Luzon, National Capital Region, Visayas or Mindanao.

Organizations who successfully register and are validated, winner or not, are included in the database, enjoying other opportunities that TAYO provides first-hand.

Registration to TAYO 11 can be accomplished online at tayoawards.net/tayo11. For others with difficulty accessing the Internet, you may download the entry form here: tayoawards.net/join. Print it, fill it out, and mail it to one of the following addresses:
