CONVERT. A long-time American resident in Cebu who said he had no religion finally found one after attending the Sto. Niño novena for four days. "Just for the experience," he told an Ear informer. He said he got carried away by the novena he attended especially by the singing of the "Bato Balani sa Gugma" which he fully understood.
ON HIS OWN. This American (he gave his name but we're withholding it in keeping with the long-standing Ear policy) told The Ear informer he decided to embrace Catholicism without anyone convincing him. He said his "conversion" began to see reality after joining the Sto. Niño procession. A parish priest and a lay minister are preparing him for baptism and confirmation to make his conversion complete.
