BYSTANDERS. Boys in their teens and early 20s have been observed to be standing by mornings on the D. Jakosalem side of the big building at the corner of Colon and the said street. An Ear source said these boys, who are known as “Manghingi Boys”, ask for money from students passing by. “Kay kuyawan man, ang mga estudyante modugo,” our source said.
STEERING CLEAR. Those who are already aware of the presence of the “Manghingi Boys” are steering clear of the said place. Even grownup non-students are victimized by these young extortionists, according to the Ear informer.
