Man with butcher's knives scare some PUJ passengers

BUTCHER’S KNIVES. The Ear has again received a complaint about one man claiming to be a professional butcher carrying at least two long butcher’s knives while on board a passenger jeepney. A reader said the man (naked from the waist up) carried the knives on his laps (gisabak) with the points almost touching the thigh of another passenger who was in shorts. No one complained for fear of the butcher.

SECOND TIME. It will be recalled that about two years ago, The Ear also carried a similar gripe from a passenger who said he had to get off the PUJ out of fear of the exposed butcher’s knife. Meanwhile, an Ear reader said it would be “nice” if half-naked men (usually dockhands) would put on their t-shirts before boarding the PUJ.
