I heard someone say: “Stop TV coverage of Senate probes and you’ll see the fall of the grandstand.”
* * *
It says here that the CBCP has apologized for some bishops’ involvement in the PCSO controversy. What is done can be undone?

Letter from Romanito Sarate of Colon St.: “The controversial Ciudad project in the Banilad area is one huge project that could help propel faster the economic development of Cebu.”
* * *
Mr. Sarate continues: “Rep. Tomas Osmeña and his boys in the City Council know this. Por bida, Sir, they know this gyud. But the project has been delayed because of political jealousy and envy. You know what I mean, don’t you, Sir Jabat?”
* * *
Yes, I know, Mr. Sarate. But do you also know that in this city what Tomas wants, he gets. Or, conversely, what Tomas doesn’t want no one else gets?

Mrs. Agape Abastilla’s observation: “Our PBA basketball players often make the Sign of the Cross while on the hardcourt. But I have not seen any of the Azkal football stars do the same on the pitch. Makamao ba sila manguros?”
* * *
My observation: Ginebra’s Ronald Tubid makes the Sign of the Cross every after scoring. Not before he shoots, like most players do.
* * *
Did you know that Ronald Tubid is the model for the statue made to represent our Blessed Pedro Calungsod? He was still a UE player when a Father Arevalo asked him to pose for the Calungsod statue.

They’re reviewing the rules (or law?) on outdoor/billboard advertising. With my small voice I suggest they include in the rules the need to identify the endorser and let the public know if they are paid endorsers of this or that product.
* * *
In the US, this is now being done. Names of product endorsers are accompanied with this line under the names: “Paid endorser” or “Paid endorsement.”
* * *
In this connection, someone has asked me: “Does this popular and rich showbiz personality eat the sardines she endorses as her favorite breakfast fare?”
