Spaghetti utility wirings are photo ops for tourists

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS?. One midday last week two Caucasians, a man and a woman, were seen taking pictures of the so-called “spaghetti wires” hanging between two electric posts on Sanciangco St. “Nagkatawa ang duha ka langyaw samtang nangodak sa gubot-pa-sa-lukot nga electrical ug telephone wirings,” said The Ear informer. “Those spaghetti wires are proving to be tourist attractions of their own,” he added.

SOUVENIR. A curious student asked the foreigners why they were taking photos of the “ugly-looking wires.” One of the said: “Oh, just for souvenirs.” The student said to her friends later that “kadtong mga turistaha maoy tuyo ato nila nga ipakita ang ugly side sa atong siyudad inig-uli nila ... Bisag pustaan pa.”
