PEEK-A-BOO. Many fans of the boxing hero Pacman expressed their disappointment over his fight with Joshua Clottey. Sure, the Pacman won but it was a hollow victory since the challenger hardly threw a punch in return. Instead, for the whole 12 rounds, Clottey’s face was barely seen on tv as it was always hidden behind his raised gloves. A Pinoy who called from Texas told his family, “Si Clottey mora’g ga duwa og peek-a-boo ni Pacman. Nangluspad ang itom.” Another Pacman fan said, “Bati, one-man show. Duwa ra to tanan ni Pacquiao.”
ARMADILLO IS NOT A TURTLE. A commentator even likened Clottey’s hunched stance to an armadillo, but he placed his foot in his mouth instead when he said, “An armadillo is a turtle.” A science teacher said, “Pataka lang na siya’g yawit ay. An armadillo is not a turtle.”
