SINULOG EVE. A mediaman hailed a Rechilda taxicab with plate number GXD307 in Banilad, midnight last Saturday. He told the driver, “Backing ‘sa diri.” But the driver, waved his arm and immediately drove away. The mediaman told his friend, “Arogante kaayo. Kay abi sakay man kaayo karon.” He took down the cab’s plate number and reported the incident to the LTO.
NO SHOW. The hearing at the LTO was set at 10AM last Jan. 20. The mediaman arrived at the LTO bright and early, but he waited in vain. After waiting for more than an our, the driver still did not show up. The LTO staff called the taxi operator and was told that the driver in question turned over the taxicab at 10AM that morning. So the mediaman waited for several minutes more. Still, the driver was a no show at the LTO. So another hearing date has been set. The mediaman told The Ear, “Lagot kaayo ko kay gi-indian gyud ko sa drayber. Bantay bitaw kung dili pa gyud na siya motunga inig sunod hearing.”
