TICKETS RESOLD? A woman who is connected with a church-based NGO went to a Lea Salonga concert during the weekend. She said they queued as early as 5:30 pm to get choice seats at the section for the P1,500 tickets. The door opened at 7 pm with 70 people already lining up. They were ushered in and an ink mark stamped on their hand. What the group found strange was that the tickets were collected but weren’t torn in half, with the stubs supposed to be given back to the concertgoers. They were only told that they can claim it only after the show. They tried to claim the holder’s part of the ticket for souvenir but the people manning the show couldn’t produce them.
SUSPICIOUS PROCEDURE. The concertgoers raised several questions like: “Where did the untorn tickets of at least 70 people go? Why such procedure?” One of the concertgoers said they couldn’t help but to suspect: “To resell the tickets to latecomers without tickets?” The informer said that one of the organizers gave them 10 unsold P3,500 tickets instead. The informer added, “They made real business jud. T-shirts, CDs for sale so you can have picture-taking with Lea at P150. No problem, but with such amounts, they should issue OR. Pagkalisud jud diay mag nation-building with such no-biz ethics practices.”
