THANKFUL TO STO. NIÑO. With Cebuanos watching the calamity of Typhoon “Ondoy” that destroyed many areas of Metro Manila from the safety of their homes, many have expressed their thanks to the Sto. Niño that they were spared the same ordeal. A housewife was heard saying, “Salamat sa Sto. Niño kay iya gyud gisagang ang bagyo nga dili ma-igo ang Cebu.”
PRECAUTION. Many Cebuanos were also heard saying that they are planning to buy air beds and floaters. A businessman was heard in a café, “Kita ko sa tv nga gamit kaayo ang air beds sa pag-save sa mga tawo gikan sa baha. Plano mi sa akong mga relatives nga mopalit og air beds ug mga floaters. Pangandam lang ba.”
