Careless revival.
The video sex scandal of Dr. Hayden Kho and actress Katrina Halili where they were seen singing “Careless Whisper” spun a revival of George Michael’s 1984 song. It’s now the most popular song in KTV bars, cellphone ringtones, company parties, and showband repertoire.
Crowd pleaser. During one of this paper’s anniversary parties, “Careless Whisper” was played twice - once during a group performance and another by The Freeman acoustic band. The song drew loud applause and jeers from the audience, dirty dancing, and kisses. Two male mediamen stepped onstage and encouraged the women to kiss them but when a gay columnist approached, they retreated.
