This Korean refused to enter the Basilica in boxer shorts

RESPECTFUL KOREAN. A group of young Koreans wanted to get inside the Basilica del Sto. Niño but one of them excused himself as he was in boxer shorts. He, however, didn’t wish perhaps to miss the chance of entering the historic church so he rushed to a van to get his jogger’s long pants, which he hurriedly put on before entering the basilica. “He’s a respectful person,” said a schoolteacher. “Mitahud siya sa balay sa Ginoo.”

“BENDITAHAN” IN CHURCHES. Someone has posed this question to The Ear: “Kanang mga benditahan (where holy water is placed) in Catholic churches wa ba kana gidili sa DOH?” She said she just wanted to know because many people dip their fingers in the so-called “benditahan” which could harbor, God forbid, the dreaded swine flu virus. “Katoliko baya ko ha,” she said. “Di ko Protestante.”
