BEWARE OF FAKES. A reader who owns sari-sari stores told The Ear that the public should be aware of the proliferation of fake P500 and P1000 bills. She said she gets these fake bills more often as Christmas season draws near. She said, “Nagkaduol ang Pasko, nagkadaghan usab ang mga peke nga five hundred ug one thousand-peso bills. Busa, angay magbantay ang katawhan. Ayaw pataka og dawat lang. Inspeksiyona’g tarong.”
CONFUSING SIGNALS. A parade occupied the whole stretch of Sikatuna St. last Sunday which forced the jeepneys to make last-minute detours from their usual routes. Many traffic enforcers were seen guiding the vehicles on where to turn, but it appeared more confusing than helpful. A jeepney passenger was heard commenting, “Ah, daghana gawara-wara uy. Makalibog na hinuon da!”
