WALANG GANYAN SA STATES. A balikbayan who has been in the US for only many years, said he will not dare drive here. The Ear heard this balikbayan tell his fellow balikbayans who are here for their summer vacation, that he is too afraid to get behind the wheel with the kind of drivers the Pinoys are.
He said, “Nakalitan ko pagkakita sa kagrabe sa sitwasyon sa mga drayber diri. Every man for himself. Walay road courtesy. Dili man ingon ana ang mga drivers sa States.”
FORMER PUJ DRIVER. The Ear found out that this balikbayan used to drive taxis and jeepneys while he was still living in Cebu City. He said, “Drayber tuod ko sa una. Maayo man ko mosukol sa trapik nato diri before. Pero naanad na ko sa States nga courteous ang mga drivers didto.
Diri, dili siguro ko makaabot og layo, mabanggaan na ko. Tinuod gyud nga ang mga Pinoy ang worst drivers in the world.”
