“Lame” link of the “ring” caused the collapse

RING BUSTED.  A “ring” of jeepney dispatchers operating in Colon St. have been arrested by police. How did they do this when the dispatchers scampered away at the smallest sight of cops?  They researched about the dispatchers, found out one of them was lame and needed a crutch to walk.  They sought him out.   As they expected he was not able to run far.

UNWILLING INFORMANT.  Under police custody “Kimpang” (that’s what the drivers and police really called him) was quick to identify the other dispatchers and where they lived and where they dispatched jeepneys.  He also told policemen that during their breaks, some jeepney drivers played tong-its in dark corners where policemen seldom look.  As a result a lot of dispatchers and drivers were arrested for their illegal activities.  While some drivers said they cannot blame “kimpang” for ratting them out, many others swore revenge against him.
