Text messages that made my day last Christmas Day

The spirit of Christmas has inspired some friends of mine to come up with beautifully worded text messages that made my day on Christmas Day. Let me share with you some of these messages.

From our editor-in-chief Jerry S. Tundag, who is also our editorial writer, came this message on Christmas eve: "Merry Christmas with all the best in my heart and in my thoughts!"
* * *
Our hard working GM Melandro 'Bhoy" Mendoza took time out to text me: "Merry Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season. God bless you and the entire family."
* * *
Here's one from Debbie Duraliza, our opinion editor: "I wish you today...a day of special graces... a day of extraordinary things to smile about... And a day with much happiness and love in your heart. Have a Blessed Christmas!"
* * *
My good friend and kumpadre David "Boy" Odilao texted: "May the blessings of Christmas bring joy and happiness to all through the New Year. Cheers!"
* * *
From my good friend Councilor Arsenio "Pax" Pacaña: "It's always good to fill our room not with gifts but with special friends like you. Merry Christmas!"
* * *
Comes now Antolin "Iyo Antoy" de la Serna: "Wealth can melt, fame can turn to shame, pleasure is unsure, power is not forever, but friends who remember each other will always stay together. Merry Christmas!"
* * *
Lea Ybañez, our former Girl Friday in the editorial department and now with Sun Star Cebu, had this message for me: "Sir, Merry Christmas! May you continue to have good health now and in the years ahead."
* * *
And from Bobit Avila, who greets me every morning with inspirational text messages, came this Christmas message: "Take time out to enjoy the festivities of the season, create wonderful memories with our loved ones, to thank God for all the blessings and most of all, to give back to Him all the goodness we have received. Here's wishing you a most meaningful Christmas!"

One thing I like about the messages sent to me by my friends is that not one of them texted "X'mas" for Christmas. Educated people these friends of mine, aren't they?

Thank you all. And Happy New Year!
