Letter to the Editor – Water problem

I write in reference to the January 28 news item, titled, "Mayors asked to act on water sanitation", by Jose P. Sullano in your prestigious newspaper. The move of PB members Gastardo, Bacaltos, Quisumbing and Corominas compelling all mayors in Cebu to implement the laws on water sanitation is a welcome development.

The move would have been at its best had they also addressed an equally important, if not more important, issue - lack or absence of water supply for instance, in Barangay San Isidro, San Fernando, Cebu.

People would appreciate it very much if the Cebu Provincial Board would pass a similar resolution calling all mayors to implement measures to improve the very poor water service by municipal waterworks system.
