MANILA, Philippines — The World Trade Center in Pasay City has transformed into a giant bookstore as it is hosting what is dubbed as the largest book fair in the world from February 16 to 25.
For the first time, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale has reached the Philippine shore, bringing over two million books that will surely make book lovers line up.
The book sale, which opens today, will serve bookworms all day and night until the 25th. Admission is free.
What's the best part? New books are being sold from 60 to 80 percent off. Think about some major book haul!
The book fair offers genres ranging from children's literature, fiction, young adult fiction to non-fiction. Books are also available in softbound, hardbound and package sets.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is frequently held in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. It was the brainchild of BookXcess founders Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng.
The books being sold at the fair were majorly taken from the stocks of BookXcess, a bookstore dealing in excess books from international distributors.
Make sure to bring a big appetite for books and wear comfortable clothing and shoes as you venture into a book hunting experience.
