MANILA, Philippines — Three people tagged in the kidnapping of a South Korean man in Mabalacat, Pampanga have been arrested, police reported yesterday.
The suspects – identified as Paula Bianca Julian, Renan Coronel and John Jacob Simbulan – were collared in a follow-up operation in Bongabon, Nueva Ecija on Oct. 25.
Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, Central Luzon police director, said a manhunt was launched for the alleged mastermind, identified as Tweenie Salas, and two other suspects, John Lex Ubane and Herson Barroga.
Maranan said the suspects seized the 57-year-old foreigner in Barangay Mabigat on Oct. 24.
The victim was about to meet a person for a car purchase deal when three armed men dragged him into a van.
